SnusFri ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile application designed to help adults aged 18 and over reduce or quit nicotine pouch use. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe.
SnusFri is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Account data: email address and authentication tokens used to sign you in.
Quit profile: your quit date, baseline pouches per day, price per tin, currency, and goals you set during onboarding.
Usage logs: cravings resisted, pouches logged, triggers, breathing/stretching sessions, achievements, and timestamps. This data powers your dashboard, streaks, and progress charts.
Device data: language, time zone, basic device type, and crash diagnostics needed to keep the app reliable.
To provide the core service — tracking, streaks, health milestones, and motivation.
To personalise content such as the trigger ranking, top trigger, and your savings estimate.
To send notifications you have opted into (daily check-ins, streak warnings, achievements, buddy cheers).
To improve reliability, detect abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
We process your data under contract (to deliver the app), consent (notifications, optional features), and legitimate interest (security, fraud prevention, product improvement).
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with processors that help us run the app: our hosting and database provider, authentication, and crash diagnostics. Each processor is bound by a data-processing agreement.
We disclose data when required by law, to protect users, or to enforce our terms.
Your data is stored on secure servers operated by our infrastructure provider. We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time, after which we erase personal data within 30 days unless we are required to retain it by law.
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data, and withdraw consent at any time. Contact build@ahmedjaama.com to exercise any of these rights. EU/UK users may also lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority.
We use encryption in transit, row-level security on our database, and least-privilege access for our team. No system is perfect — please use a strong, unique password.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
